My Essential Question:
How could focusing my high school years on my pathway help to contribute or facilitate to my career in the future?
Abstract:
Kimbra Balthazor, an intern at the Forsyth County School's County office and mentored by Dr. Valery Lowe, the College and Career Director, as well as all Work-Based Learning Coordinators.
This capstone was performed in order to determine whether or not pathways within Forsyth County Schools are contributing to student's future careers. It's evidence was gathered from articles and interviews with business men and women around the community. After thoroughly researching, there was a conclusion drawn that pathways are successfully preparing students in some aspects of their skills, yet lacking in others. The areas of skills in which schools are lacking to teach students are soft skills and managing money. Without these skills, students of this generation and the upcoming will be effected in a way that could cause an increase in debt.
